Are My Credit card details stored anywhere in the Telpay System?

No. The card details are encrypted when they are read and not stored in any part of the system once they are passed from one part of the process to the next.

How is the transaction sent to the bank?

SMS is the principle means of passing the information from the mobile phone although GPRS can also be used. Most banks
now use SMS and GPRS as a means of carrying transactions
from mobile terminals.

Where can I use the Telpay system?

Where ever your carrier provides SMS coverage. This typically
is all major population centres. As we use SMS you can often
send a transaction in an area where a you cannot make a voice call as the signal strength required for SMS is lower.

What type of cards can I take?

The system is for credit cards only. Your merchant facility with
the bank will typically allow you to accept Visa, Mastercard
and Bankcard. If you need to take Amex and Diners you will
need to have a separate merchant facility with them.

When will the funds reach my bank account?

Typically funds are deposited into your account between 24
and 72 hrs. The time will be determined by the interbank
transfers. At no time does Telpay hold or have access to your funds.

What information can I get about the transactions I have processed?

When you become a customer of Telpay you will be given
secure access to view transaction history information. This
can be downloaded into your accounting package or a
spreadsheet

How many phones can I have on my account?

There is no limit as to how many phones you have on your account, however only the account holder can add or take
off phones on their account
